1868 The Fourteenth Amendment, declared any person born in the United States was a citizen
and is entitled to equal protection of the law.
1879 The Fifteenth Amendment, granted all citizens the right to vote.
1896, the country took a turn backwards and decided that the states could allow people
of different races to be ”seperate but equal”. It ended in 1954 because it gave way to blacks being given the
inferior or lesser quality facilities and materials.
1955, On December 1, in Montgomery, Alabama Rosa Parks, a member of the NAACP took her
seat on the bus in the front of the bus. At that time the South was still segregated, whites thought that African-Americans
should ride in the back of the bus, but also give up their seats to any white person who wanted to sit. Ms. Parks was arrested
and taken to jail for refusing to give up her seat. December 5, 1955, Martin Luther King Jr. a 381 day boycott of the public
buses buses. The end result was desgregation of all public facilities.
This led to :
1964 The Civil rights act of 1964 again states that all people are created equal and
should have equal access to public places.
And:
1965, On August 6 President Johnson signs the Voting Rights Act which King sought,. It
authorized federal the end of devices that hindered African Americans from registering to vote.
The truth about it is that African-Americans are the founders of the civil rights movement and
it should be stated so in these laws. Every time African Americans have protested and lobbied to make these laws, Congress
passes the laws in a generalized form to include all races, creeds and both genders. African Americans are entitled to have
protected status like the Native American Indian. Because people of all walks of life get to enjoy equality in America at
the expense of the African Americans. For example
1963 Police arrest King and other
ministers demonstrating in Birmingham, Ala., then turn fire hoses and police dogs on the marchers. Medgar Evers, NAACP leader,
was murdered on June 12 . On Sept. 15, Four girls were killed in the bombing of the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, Ala. 1965 Malcolm X is murdered on Feb. 21, 1965.
Three men are convicted of his murder. 1968 The Rev. Martin Luther
King Jr. is assassinated in Memphis, Tenn., unleashing violence in more than 100 cities. 1992 The first
massive racially based riot in years erupted in Los Angeles and other cities after a jury acquits L.A. police officers in
the videotaped beating of Rodney King, an African American. African-American leaders reported to the government that the riots
were signs of frustration and opression. The government tried to curve black angst by making more funds and programs
to aid in education, employment and housing. These programs were made available to just blacks, no of course
not, the programs funds and assistance goes to all "disadvantaged" persons of all ethnic groups and
sorts. The question is are African Americans in need getting their fair share? Or do all African-Americans share
in needs?
America ..."The land of the free, the home of the brave or the land of the sleeze and the home
of the slave!
The truth about it is Greco-Roman society is about the survival of the fitest. Therefor
all people need to wise up and fight for and fend for their own or be overtaken. The time for thinking that you are
getting over is over. Quit waiting on hand outs and fight. Enough is enough. And that's enough said.
