Family Matters

The family unit

Is traditionally thought of as the core to any decent civilization. Most intelligent cultures enforce family values as a major part of their common moral standards. Thus the elements of family matters are thought of as part of a body of unofficial laws called common sense. Ones skillful use and application of common sense causes one to be a highly regarded individual. Because ones common practical use of it is also a good indication of that individual being of a sound mind,, mentally healthy.

The family is the nucleus of a country. It is where the values are in forced and instilled to create a good citizen who will pay taxes, defend his country, make a people friendly government and so on and so forth. A person who will do his or her part. All for the better good of the country on the whole.

So what happens when how a family functions is not so common anymore?

From the statements mentioned in the first paragraph we can conclude that the society in which this tragedy occurs is severely ill. Plagued by diverse kinds of mental illness like depression, low self esteem, anxiety – all due to the lack of preparedness for adulthood roles. Not having realistic expectations of life. Not to mention a montage of criminal and civil offenses like discrimination and harassment.

If the family is thought of as a minuscule group or not regarded at all it leaves the education of individuals in the hands of persons who may or may not be dependable or mentally stable. Which jeopardizes security on a personal level, as well as Nationwide.

The solution – a return to normalcy.

Back to the Basics. Teaching and enforcing mainstream family values. Removing the dominance of the "haywire and haphazard" element from our society.

Respect for oneself and immeasurable abilities. Which will lead to respecting the wishes and desires of others. The old do unto others as you would have them to do unto you rule – "The Golden Rule."

Acknowledging the boundaries. Acknowledging the right to legally and safely build a defense or fortress of safety for onesself, family, community, etc. Inorder to understand the purpose of this country.
Commitment/Responsibility – the importance of. Must strategically rid our society of the notion that we can do what we want and rely on technology to bail us out
Communication – Politely discussing issues and coming to an amiable solution.
Courtesy
Quality – Placing high value in what you do so that what you produce is not waste and destruction.
Purpose - Respect for life and the reasons for citizenship.
Recognition of what is degradable. To prevent social ills from plauging our people.

Enforcing laws to protect the family unit. Remember every man is the King of his castle. Which is a commonly known phrase. Destoying the family unit destroys trust. Which will lead to the destruction of a country. We must be assured that certain kinds or clans are not singled out for entrapment, enslavement, forced in to street life, etc.

How do we bring about this revival?

Mandatory teachings:

On the job training for required family values teachings.
Schools in all grade levels.
Spiritual and civic groups required to teach and enforce these common sense values in order to maintain a license.
Prisons – prisoners required to know the law and common courtesies before being released. Prisoners being released into proper rehabilitation centers.
Mentally ill must be treated fairly. And placed in mental health facilities to assure the safety of our society.
- On a side note it appears that we have forgotten that severely anti social behavior leads to kidnappers, rapist, murderers, and other criminally insane individuals being loose on the street, hiding in corners, sleeping on buses, etc. We must not be lackadaisical when it comes to mental illness.
- We must raise the bar so that those who do not have physical brain dysfunctions will properly mature and "pull their weight around the house" so to speak. A choice must be made. Do not give major responsibilities to those who are prone to use a mental health diagnoses for an excuse for poor behavior. Some persons claim to be so mentally ill yet they have jobs giving them authority and in trust them with human lives. If they are that ill they need to be committed and/or placed in full time mental health programs so not to harm others.

So why be nice?

Most Americans have been bullied into succumbing to peer pressure. Rebelling against social norms to the point that parents are unable to be an example for their own children. Which makes us all improperly even on an intellectual level. The teacher is no longer the master when the student is wiser than he. Not acknowledging high moral standards leads to immaturity. Which will cause a nation to be overtaken.

We must remember that we must make sure this country is worth defending. It appears that it is getting harder to differentiate between organized crime and government. Because the organize crime groups provide protection, money and shelter for its members. And is more readily accessible oft times offering more feasible solutions. However what they offer is only temporary peace. One must maintain criminal values as opposed to high moral values.

So what are we mice or men?

In other words we must all focus on what really matters most – Family Matters.
